Lowell Restaurant Week to be held August 1-15, 2010.

2nd annual Restaurant Week to be held at Greater Lowell restaurants from August 1 – 15, 2010

Lowell, MA – The Greater Merrimack Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau will be sponsoring the second annual Restaurant Showcase Week in Lowell and the Merrimack Valley from August 1-15, 2010.  Lowell restaurants will be featuring special menus with either a two-course lunch for between $9.10 – $15.10, or a three-course dinner for between $23.10 – $33.10. You can try out great new restaurants or just get fantastic deals at the restaurants you love.

Restaurant Showcase Week kicks off on July 29th at Lowell’s LeLacheur Park, home of the Lowell Spinners, with the  Summer Sam Fest celebration.  The public is invited to experience food samplings from the participating restaurants and take part in the Sam Adams comparative beer tasting while enjoying live music provided by Jen Kearney and the Lost Onion.

There is a $5.00 fee for 5 restaurant food samples at the Summer Sam Fest celebration, and all proceeds from this will be given to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank in Lowell. For more information about the opening event or about Restaurant Week, visit the GMVCVB website.
