According to the US Small Business Association website, “every year since 1963, the President of the United States has proclaimed National Small Business Week to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the economic well-being of America.” The City of Lowell, Massachusetts will be celebrating the 2010 Small Business Week on May 24th, 2010, with a full day of programming for small business owners in Lowell.

The full day event will be held from 9:30 am until 6:00 pm, and it will be held at the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center, 50 Warren Street in Lowell. There will be a mix of business workshops and networking for local business owners and managers, focusing on marketing, social media, raising funds, healthcare, going green, and other business management strategies.

The Small Business Week workshops in Lowell are a great opportunity to meet with local elected officials, employees in Lowell’s Office of Economic Development, and other small business owners who may be facing the same issues as your business.

If you have any questions about the event, please call Erin Findlen at 978-446-7200 ext. 1437 or send an email to
