Middlesex Community College’s free fall concert series, A World of Music, continues with a performance by the Boston Saxophone Quartet, in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, in MCC’s Concert Hall (Building 6), on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road. The concert is free and open to the public.

A unique blend of musicians combining a range of repertoire and individual experience in wind performance, this ensemble performs in a variety of styles, ranging from the Renaissance to the present. During this concert, they will play selections from the Civil War, WWI and WWII eras.

Additional concerts in MCC’s A World of Music include, “Warud Min a’Sharq – Flowers from the East,” instrumental work from the Middle East, to be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7; pianist Sonya Ovrutsy Fensome in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13; “Chamber Music for Voice, Viola and Piano,” at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20; and a MCC Student Recital featuring student instrumentalists and singers performing at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14. All concerts will be held in MCC’s Concert Hall (Building 6), on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road.
