Botball tournament

Botball and Botfest tournament at UMass Lowell.

UMass Lowell will host its annual Botfest/Botball events in honor of National Robotics Week, which runs through April 18 and is organized by iRobot Corp., the Technology Collaborative and other corporate and educational partners around the country, including Georgia Tech, MIT, University of Southern California and University of Pennsylvania. At UMass Lowell, 19 teams from middle and high schools across New Hampshire and Massachusetts will compete in Botball, a high-spirited, fast-paced contest.

Student teams create robots designed to perform tasks completely on their own, with no remote control.Botfest is a non-competitive exhibition of interactive, build-it-yourself robots and animatronics by inventors of all ages and includes demonstrations by students from UMass Lowell and other schools, corporate groups and the community.
