This public community forum is sponsored by Applied Social Research Institute of Cambodia (ASRIC) and its Institutional Partner Asian/Pacific/American Institute at New York University in cooperation with Cambodian Expressions, Employees of the Lowell Public Schools, Middlesex Community College, the Fulbright-Hays Cambodia Study Group, and Lowell Community Health Center/Metta Health Center, and its purpose is threefold:

1) Educate and update community members about the recent VIF filings (Victim Information Forms) and ASRIC’s efforts with the current Khmer Rouge Tribunal (ECCC).
2) Assess next steps for gathering more VIFs and educating the community with regard to proceedings involving the second case before the tribunal (Case 002)
3) Dialogue with community members about initiatives that can further assessment and healing, with a particular focus on reparations for the Cambodian diaspora.

Saody Ouch, Lowell Alliance for Families and Neighborhoods’ Community Organizer, will be there talking about her recent experience in Cambodia where she served as a witness at the Khmer Rough Tribunal.
