Using a small portable INKLE loom, learn how to weave narrow bands, straps, trims, and more! This warp-faced technique is easy and fun, in many colors of smooth yarns. You can even weave your own “designer shoelaces!” Come to learn a new skill, and take home a new project! (This is a great class for home-schoolers and child-parent learning)

Materials: Inkle looms may be rented from the teacher (for $5), or bring your own, with string heddles. Open-sided is easiest, best! Appropriate cotton yarn will be available in a variety of colors, or you may bring smooth cotton crochet thread size #5, in 2-3 colors, 50 grams (1.76 oz.) This will make one pair of shoelaces. Optional: a small stick shuttle, small scissors, measuring tape, note-taking materials.

Instructor: Connie Gray
