Great music every summer in Boardinghouse Park.

The Lowell Summer Music Series is an annual non-profit series, held beween June and September, that is committed to bringing great music to Lowell at reasonable prices. Concerts are held at Boarding House Park, which is located in the Boott Mills complex in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts.

Past Lowell Summer Music Series performers include Indigo Girls, Neville Brothers, Arlo Guthrie, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn’s Sparrow Quartet, Davy Jones of the Monkees, Los Lobos, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and Orleans.

All of the concerts are general admission, and since they are held in a public park, concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for their own comfort as there are no seats. For the best view and to be able to choose the best location to sit, people are encouraged to arrive around 6pm for a 7:30 concert.

In the event of rain on the day of the performance, all children’s concerts and almost all evening concerts will be relocated to the Cyrus Irish Auditorium at Lowell High School. Some of the larger concerts will be relocated to Lowell Memorial Auditorium, which is a larger venue.

For tickets, the upcoming summer schedule, or for rain details, visit the Summer Music Series website for more information.
