Help clean up Clemente Park in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Lower Highlands Neighborhood Group participating in the Great American Clean Up on Saturday, May 2

Lowell, MA – The Lower Highlands Neighborhood Group will be cleaning up Clemente Park in Lowell, Massachusetts as part of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Clean Up. Every year during the month of May, 3 million volunteers and attendees participate in over 30,000 events that make up the Great American Clean Up in cities across the US, and it’s become the country’s largest community improvement program.

Volunteers will be working at Clemente Park (823 Middlesex Street (across from Pailin Plaza), and LHNG is still looking for volunteers to help in this effort. All necessary supplies will be provided, and volunteers should dress appropriately.

In addition to the clean-up at Clemente Park, volunteers from the Calvary Baptist Church on Liberty Street will be cleaning up Armory Park on Westford Street in Lowell from 9:00am – 12:00pm on the same day.

Both park clean-ups are supported by the Lower Highlands Neighborhood Group, the Lowell Alliance for Families and Neighborhoods, the Boys and Girls Club of Lowell, Keep Lowell Beautiful and the City of Lowell.
