Weaving workshop:
Have you ever tried weaving before? Join Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center on Saturday, October 1st from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a free hands-on weaving workshop. During the program you will get a chance to learn about cloth-making during the 19th century, both on a small farm and in a large factory. Our staff will then teach you the basics of weaving, and you can create your own unique piece of fabric. After the program concludes you can visit the weave room in the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, where you can see 1920s looms still weaving cotton cloth.

Participants should meet at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, 115 John Street, Lowell, MA 01852

The event is free, but space is limited! Please call 978-970-5080 to make a reservation or if you have any questions.
