Lowell Regional Transit Authority provides bus service in Lowell.

Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) provides bus and transit services in and around Lowell, Massachusetts. There are several bus routes that operate within the city of Lowell, and other routes take passengers to towns just outside of Lowell city limits, including Andover, Billerica,Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Dracut, and Chelmsford.

The LRTA also operates routes that take passengers to select shopping malls, grocery stores, and places of employment in Lowell suburbs. LRTA operates a route that travels to the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, New Hampshire, and a separate route that travels to the Burlington Mall in Burlington, Massachusetts. Additionally, the LRTA operates bus routes that take passengers to large companies in the area such as Route 495 Business Center, Lahey Clinic, Raytheon and the IRS headquarters among others.
