Middlesex Community College will host two open forums titled “Racism in Our Community.”

A Bedford campus forum will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the Bedford Campus Center’s Café East, 591 Springs Road.

A Lowell campus forum will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the Lowell Campus Cafeteria. Both events are free and open to the public.

Sponsored by MCC’s Office of the Provost and Commonwealth Honors Program, each open forum will feature a panel presentation and community discussion to offer information and promote dialogue about racism in our communities. The forum will focus on two recent incidents in Bedford and Lowell.

Forum panelists will include Binnur Ercem, MCC Professor of Social Sciences and Human Services, Reginald Nichols, Lowell Academic Advisor, and Maria McDuffie, MCC’s International Student Advisor.
