
The 27 Annual National Night Out” (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). According to the National Night Out website, last year’s event “involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 36 million people participated in National Night Out 2009.”
Don’t miss an outdoor film screening of the Steven Spielberg classic “E.T.” in celebration of “National Night Out” on Tuesday, August 3, on the lawn and parking lot of the C.W. Morey Elementary School in Lowell. Family festivities start at 6pm — film screening at 8pm.
