
Annual Folk Festival kicks off in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 24
Lowell, MA. - It's that time of year again! As the summer heats up, the Lowell Folk Festival comes to town, bringing fun musical performers, great food, and good spirits. The Lowell Folk Festival is a free three-day event, and it kicks off on Friday night, July 24 with a dance party featuring many of the Festival performers. The Festival has everything from Folk Music, Jazz, Bluegrass, Country, Honk Tonk, Polka, and more.
Concerts are held at a variety of locations throughout the city of Lowell, including Boarding House Park, Dutton Street Dance Pavilion, JFK Plaza (downtown), Market Street, Lee Street, St. Anne's Church courtyard, and John Street.
This entertaining family event is produced by the City of Lowell, the Lowell Festival Foundation, the Lowell National Historical Park, and the National Council for Traditional Arts.
