BookmarkNinth annual Lowell Open Studios will be held September 26-27 at local galleries and studios
Lowell, MA. - The ninth annual Lowell Open Studios event will be held by artists throughout the city of Lowell, Massachusetts on September 26th and 27th from 11am to 5pm both days. Dozens of artists and art galleries will have special exhibitions during this fun event, and visitors are able to meet with just about all of the artists.
For the convenience of visitors, a free round-trip shuttle bus will be provided to transport people from downtown studios to the Western Avenue Studios complex, where over two hundred artists work. Artwork is available to purchase throughout the event, and some artists offer special exhibitions and discounts that are only available during the Lowell Open Studios event.
Some of the art galleries that are hosting events and exhibitions include 119 Gallery, The ALL Arts Gallery, Ayer Lofts Art Gallery, Brush Art Gallery & Studios, and the Loading Dock Gallery. A few of the dozens of artists that will be exhibiting their work include Adrien Bisson, Gary Destramp, Wilda Gerideau-Squires, Vassilios Giavis, Ann Lee, Ilene Richard, and many others. During the event, there will also be several special events taking place. Some of these events feature special artist demonstrations, including pottery making, spinning fibers, improvisational screen printing, and other live demonstrations.
