2009 Lowell Spinners Theme Nights
Lowell, MA - One of the hallmarks of Minor League Baseball are the fun theme nights planned by the ingenious marketing staff the teams employ. The Lowell Spinners have some great theme nights planned for the 2009 season.
Theme nights for the 2009 season include a mock tribute to Manny Ramirez, a thumbs down to the Evil Empire from New York, a salute to lovely Cougars, and other fun themes. Other theme nights include tributes to other popular Boston sports teams, including the Celtics, Pats, Bruins and Revolution.

Politically Correct/Politically Incorrect Nights - June 22/23
Back again, these nights are sure to be better than ever given the current climate we live in. Be on the lookout for a special giveaway item each night!
Salute to Cougars - July 14
A tribute to the large, solitary cat that has the greatest range of any wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere. An adaptable, generalist species, the cougar is found in every major American habitat, with a focused concentration in California. Cougars of all ages and sizes will be honored, from Demi Moore and Halle Barry to local cougars, with prizes that night including trips to the zoo.
Star Wars Night - July 18
The Evil Empire visits LeLacheur Park for a tribute to Geroge Lucas's epic film. Members of the 501st Legion will be on hand to interact with fans and special Star Wars themed promotions and events will occur throughout the night.
Salute to Quitters - The 1-Year Anniversary of the Manny Trade - July 30
A year ago the Red Sox traded Manny Ramirez to the Dodgers, ridding themselves of what former Spinner Jonathan Papelbon referred to "a cancer." One of the greatest players in the history of the game, Manny quit on the Red Sox more than once and on this date we will honor the anniversary of his trade, as well as other well known quitters.
Anti-Yankees Night - August 19
The Spinners favorite team to hate, we are showing our disdain for the New York Yankees this night. The night is sure to be loaded with anti-Yankees themes.
Other theme nights include: New England Patriots Night with Stephen Gostkowski and Chris Hansen (the punter, not the Dateline reporter), Boston Celtics Night, Boston Bruins Night, New England Revolution Night, Halloween Night, NASCAR Night, Going Green Night and BINGO Night.
