Shedd Park is a popular park in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is home to several baseball and softball diamonds, hard court tennis courts, a water spray park in the summer, picnic tables, a playground, and other space that is available for public usage. There are several leagues that call Shedd Park home, and the pavilion serves as a stage for concerts, film screenings, and other public events.

The Friends of Shedd Park is a non-profit organization that was started by neighbors of the park who were concerned with its upkeep. This small informal group grew into a non-profit organization after teaming up with Community Teamwork, Inc. in 2005. The mission of the organization is “to organize family oriented events, to foster community enjoyment of the park and to raise funds for a new playground and sprinkler “spray-ground.”

People who would like to organize a public or private event at Shedd Park should contact the City of Lowell’s Parks and Recreation Department by calling (978) 970-4171. Park rental information (and form) is available on the city of Lowell website, LowellMA.gov.
