Lowell Spinners will be holding a fan meet and greet at Nashua’s Holman Stadium on June 16

LOWELL, MA – The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are ensuring professional baseball will be in Nashua, NH for at least one night this summer.

Through a partnership with the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, the Spinners are bringing their act to Nashua Wednesday, June 16 for a special “Fan Fest” event featuring the entire 2010 Lowell Spinners team, the Canaligator family, 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series trophy and more!

The Spinners evening will kick off with a special “Business After Hours” event with the Nashua Chamber where members will have the exclusive opportunity to enjoy ball park fare and win great prizes in the luxury box area.

At 6:30 p.m. the Spinners will open the gates to all fans for the free Fan Fest. On hand will be the full 2010 Spinners roster, the first meet-and-greet opportunity for Spinners fans. The players will sign autographs and take photos on the playing field until 8 p.m.

Fans will also be able to take photographs with the Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series trophy, the Lowell Spinners Mystery Machine and the two newest additions to the team’s Spinnertainment collection: Dukes of Hazard General Lee and Cars Lightning McQueen Mini-Cars!

“The baseball fans in Nashua date back to the days of the Brooklyn Dodgers and Don Newcombe,” said Spinners Vice President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. “We are thrilled to be able to bring Spinners baseball to Nashua with a taste of what the Spinners and Red Sox organization are all about.”

There will be an additional on-field component to the event which is free and open to the public. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. with activities for the entire family.

“We are grateful to our partners in the Nashua community for helping us make this event possible,” said Bawmann. “From the Nashua Chamber to the Nashua Telegraph and WGAM “The Game,” the Nashua community has welcomed the organization with open arms and we are very excited for this special event.”

The event will be a pre-cursor to the start of the Spinners 2010 season which begins Friday, June 18 in Burlington, Vermont.
