Enter your special “Lowell Story” for a chance to win a great prize

This year, the city of Lowell, Massachusetts is celebrating its 175 anniversary as a city, and there will be many events and activities to celebrate. Right now, the city of Lowell is sponsoring a contest where people can enter their “Lowell Story” for a chance to win some great prizes.

A “Lowell Story” can be anything from a memorable event or special experience you had in Lowell to how you or someone you know came to reside in Lowell or built a business in the city. Each (150 words or less) “Lowell Story” will be unique to the writer, and the city wants to know about your great story. Not only will you be able to share your story with others, but you can win great prizes for doing it. Entries must also either include a related photo or your own picture.

The grand prize for the winning entry is two season tickets to the Lowell Summer Music Series. Three runners up will also each receive a $50 gift certificate to a restaurant in the city of Lowell. There is also another contest specifically for local students in Lowell who are between 12 and 18 years old. Students can enter their own “Lowell Story” for an opportunity to win an Apple iTunes gift card with a value of up to $75.

To read more about this contest and to submit your “Lowell Story entry,” visit the Lowell.org website, which has the entry form for you to fill out. You can also mail in your entry if you’d prefer.
