International Education Week is a nationwide movement aimed to promote diversity and celebrate different cultures. UMass Lowell will hold events and highlight a different country each day. During many of the discussions, UMass Lowell students from these countries will offer insight on traditions and customs. Events, which are free unless otherwise stated, include:

·      Tuesday, Nov. 16, noon, “History and Customs of Nigeria,” complete with a Nigerian-style lunch;

·      Wednesday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m., “The Power of Nonviolence Around the World;”

·      Thursday, Nov. 18, 2 p.m., “Turkish Culture;”

·      Thursday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m., “The Violin and Lyras of Greece,” tickets $10;

·      Saturday, Nov. 20, 6 p.m., “Intercultural Festival,” a night of music, dance and food from around the world.
