UMass Lowell Conductor Deb Huber, recipient of the Roy J. Zuckerberg Endowed Leadership Prize, chose to use her financial award to commission new instrumental works for students to perform. One is by composer James L. Hosay, a retired staff arranger for the U.S. Army and composer for many well-known recording artists, including Patti LaBelle, Amy Grant, Reba McEntire and Lee Greenwood. The New England Senior Youth Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Huber, will perform “All Creatures Great and Small: A Celebration of the Earth.” The concert is free and open to the public.
