Devan McConnell, director of sports performance at UMass Lowell, is offering nine weeks of summer sports training and development at the University’s Center for Sports Performance at the Tsongas Center.

The nine-week course runs from June 17 through Aug. 16 from 10-11:30 a.m. and is open to any and all high school and college-aged athletes.

The training programs include speed and agility development with a focus on lateral movement; power development through plyometrics, medicine balls and Olympic lifting; Functional strength training which focuses on upper and lower body and core training; and conditioning concentrating on progressive energy system development.
