Dustin Ramey of the Sanford Mainers claims back-to-back NECBL Co-Pitcher of the Week honors

LOWELL, MA – River Hawk senior pitcher Dustin Ramey (Kingston, N.H.) repeated as the New England Collegiate Baseball League Co-Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the NECBL on Monday.

As the Sanford Mainers’ summer league stud, Ramey followed up seven shutout innings against the Lowell Americans last week with six scoreless frames against Holyoke on Friday, July 9. The crafty right-hander allowed only two hits, one walk and retired the final eight batters before passing the baton to the bullpen in the 8-0 win.

So far this summer, Ramey has put together a 3-2 record and a 1.93 ERA over 28.0 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting just .186 against him.

As a junior for the River Hawks this past season, Ramey compiled a 7-4 record with a 2.07 ERA. His success on the mound earned him a spot on the Northeast-10 All-Conference Third-Team.
