Referred by a friend - that's great to hear!

    • My friend recommended a job at Lowell. What now?

To make sure your friend gets the recognition they deserve, you need to follow a few extra steps in the application process.

      • Step 1: Use the job search page on this site to find the vacancy you are interested in, then just click "apply".
      • Step 2: Select the option “referred by employee” on you online application.
      • Step 3: You need to input the name or work email address of the person who referred you.
      • Step 4: When we arrange a telephone interview with you, please make sure you mention the person who is referring you.
      • Step 5: The only thing you have left to do is pass the interview!

Your interview - let's get ready

    • What should I wear?

Think about the impression you want to make and take it from there. We know you can’t judge a book by it's cover but first impressions count.

    • What's the interview like?

We know that the first time we meet might be a little nerve-racking.

Your interview is a great opportunity to meet the people you’ll be working with and to see if we’re the right fit for you – as much as it is for us.

You’ll be able to tell us more about you and we’ll cover some competency based questions that link to our Values. We may include a role-play or a technical assessment so we can see you in action too.

No matter the format, our Talent Acquisition team will be at hand to help you prepare for your interview. You can call team on 0333 556 5555.

    • What should I bring?

We’ll need you to bring a few documents:

      • Proof of Right to Work document (e.g. passport, birth certificate)
      • 2 proof of address documents (e.g. bank statements, utility bill…)

Ask our Talent Acquisition team for a complete list of acceptable documents.

    • What about getting there?

We have free parking available, just contact our Talent Acquisition team if you need a space.

You can also use the 110 and 444 bus services.

Your first day - can't wait to meet you

    • Where should I go?

Head to Ellington House, our Reception team will know you’re coming. Once you’re signed in, someone will come to meet you.

    • What's the dress code?

We have a relaxed dress code so you can choose what to wear within reason. We just ask that your outfit is appropriate for work, not too revealing and doesn’t stop you from doing your job.

    • What if I'm running late?

We know things don't always go to plan, so don’t worry. Just let us know as soon as possible by calling Reception on 0345 300 9410.

    • Do I need to bring anything?

Our HR Administration team will let you know if they need you to bring anything. If you forget your lunch, don’t stress – we have our on-site canteen.

    • Getting here

If you’re driving, try to arrive 15 minutes early as the car park can get quite busy. A parking attendant will be on hand to direct you, just let them know it’s your first day.

You can also use the 110 and 444 bus services.

Facilities - we've got you covered

    • What about breakfast or lunch?

Our on-site restaurant has a range of options including, family favourites, healthy options, halal, vegan and vegetarian. There’s something for everyone! You can also bring food from home, we have refrigerators and microwaves available for you to use.

    • Is there a cash machine on site?

No, there's usually little need for cash as our restaurant and café both accept card and contactless payments.

    • How do I get access to the gym?

You’ll need to arrange an induction session through Reception first: there’s a one-off fee of £20 to cover that.  From then on it’s free, just check availability with Reception.  The gym is open from 7am to 7pm, and there are shower and changing facilities to use.

    • Is there somewhere to park my bike?

Yes, we have secure stands in the basement - just speak to Reception for access.

And if you either want to buy a bike or upgrade your current one, we also offer a Cycle to Work scheme through our flexible benefits scheme.
